Public classes
Our public classes are held quarterly, on the 3rd Thursday of the month, and are generally held from 6 - 7:30 pm at the flower shop. They are appropriate for ages 16+, and class capacity varies from 6-8 people. All classes are announced on Instagram and are available for registration on our website.
Thursday January 16th 2025: Flower Rings
In our most popular class in the Flower Jewelry series, create a stunning ring with dried and fresh flowers that will last forever. You will learn how to create a balanced design, and then construct a micro arrangement that you can wear! $65 per person
Thursday March 20th: Introduction to Flower Design
Join us at Upper Village Blooms on Thursday, March 20, for our flower class, "Flower Design 101." Discover the different types of flowers and how they are used, learn the basics of color design, and how to put it all together! $75 pp
Thursday May 15th: Spring Flower Fling
Let's take advantage of the abundance of Spring Flowers in May! This class is all about volume and impact in a modern style. While you create a compact vase arrangement filled with flowers, you will learn about texture and balance and best practices of flower care. $85 pp
Thursday September 18th: Sustainable Floral Construction
The next step in floral design is learning construction using re-usable and sustainable materials. We will learn about the different ways to keep flowers in a vase without using floral foam. Bring your most challenging wide mouth vase, or purchase one from our collection. $85 pp
Private Design Workshops
Our private design classes are held throughout the year on Thursday evenings (6 - 7:30 pm) or Sundays (10 - 11:30am or 4-5:30 pm). There are no classes during the weeks of Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Local Proms, Thanksgiving, Christmas, however we are available during local school recesses.
We have two tiers of instruction for the newcomer, and 5 additional classes for advanced students or special interests.
Introduction to Flower Design: In this class you learn the basics of flower design principles and design your own flower arrangement.
For a minimum of 4 people, $65 per person
For 2-person only, $100 per person
Intermediate Flower Design: We take the principles of the introductory class and apply new structural techniques using wire, tape, and other materials.
